Your Consultation

Your first conversation with us

Our practice philosophy is all about having a warm and caring relationship with our patients, where a premium is placed on your individual goals and providing you with the expertise needed to achieve those goals. With your first call to us we will give you all the time you need to describe your goals and to ask all of the questions you need to become well informed about our approach to your procedure. We will also ask you about yourself so that we can direct your care appropriately and address important question as they relate directly to your case. We will then offer you a number of dates for your comprehensive office consultation with Dr. Connall. These consultations are performed on Mondays and Fridays, and occasionally on Saturday mornings. We will also arrange to send you a folder with complete information about your consultation, educational brochures, and financing options. Our staff really enjoys talking with new patients and discussing the exciting procedures we have to offer you, so if you wish, this first call can be lengthy.

Your consultation

We know that patients fear that their consultation will be stressful and rushed. Our approach is to help you feel comfortable from the second you enter our office. Our staff and Dr. Connall are warm and welcoming and are truly excited to meet you. We also allow adequate time for a comprehensive consultation, so that you can obtain the care and information you need to feel informed and confident in placing your trust in us to perform your procedure.

If you are choosing breast implants, your consultation will begin with a chance to "try-on" some sample implants, with the help of Lisa or Angela. We find this to be a nice introduction to breast augmentation and it starts to give you an idea of the size of augmentation you will be choosing. After your "try-on", Dr. Connall will spend time talking with you to understand your wishes and to review your medical history. Next, an examination will be performed and Dr. Connall will review your examination with you and answer any questions you may have. The consultation will then move to our conference room. There, a thorough review of your treatment options will be performed and Dr. Connall will review a computerized slide show about your procedure with you. (If you are selecting breast implants, all of your implant options will be reviewed. You will be able to touch, hold and compare the different types of breast implants available to you). Dr. Connall will also discuss the surgery itself and what to expect after surgery. Dr. Connall values well informed and inquisitive patients, so he welcomes your questions and will take the time needed to answer all of them! Finally, you will meet with Angela to review the scheduling, logistics and financing of your surgery and if you'd like, you may schedule your pre-operative visit and surgery. Angela is also great at answering general questions about your procedure; including those you may have missed during your time with Dr. Connall.

Expect to spend about one hour for your consultation. We have had many patients tell us this was the best hour they have spent learning about cosmetic plastic surgery. It is our fundamental goal and responsibility to provide you with a thorough medical assessment and the information you need to make an informed decision about your procedure. We are confident you will feel we have met those goals, as well, at the end of your consultation.
